We had 3 cars and managed to park two outside the property and the other close by. Although there is no outside space it is an ideal opportunity to walk 3 metres to the pub opposite and enjoy its suntrap patio! Lovely spacious house with huge...

Location is great, in a quiet part of the village - 10 minute drive from Saunton Beach. Croyde is only 15 minutes away. The rooms are large, the living room enormous with comfortable sofas, and the large kitchen well equipped, clean and modern....

Very spacious and comfortable house which was ideal for a three-generation family holiday. We really appreciated the large kitchen and living area. Having a stair gate and highchair was appreciated by our baby granddaughter.

The location was perfect and it was a major advantage being able to park in front of the garage door. Very clean with everything you would expect provided. Large rooms, especially the lounge. A really great place to stay

Everyone that visits Mordor Lodge says "Wow it's bigger than I thought." A great place for one large family, groups of friends and multi generational holidays. The large kitchen and living room provide space for everyone in your party to spend time together. Some holiday spaces sacrifice social space for more bedrooms. At Mordor you have both. Braunton is a great base to explore the North Devon coast and has two supermarkets and plenty of eating and drinking places.
Mordor Lodge is a 5 minute walk from the village high street which has two small supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and various hot food take aways. Braunton also has a Tesco supermarket, chemist and various shops. Barnstaple is about 10 minutes away by car and boasts more retails options. Just opposite Mordor Lodge is the Black Horse pub serving food and drink and the Aggi (Agricultural Inn) is also a 3 minute walk in the opposite direction. Saunton Sands, Crow Point, Croyde Bay, Baggy Point, Putsborough, Woolacombe and Ilfracombe are between 10 minutes and 20 minutes drive and you can also head in the opposite direction, across the estuary to visit Bideford, Instow, Appledore and beyond. Walking and cycling are popular in the locality and all the usual beach and water sports you would expect on the coast.
