Hello, we are Mike & Peggy. Before taking over the highly rated Morlea B&B, we spent two years in Milltimber, Scotland exploring B&Bs around the UK. It was love at first sight with Morlea B & B, the Drumnadrochit community/village, the nearby attractions, and of course the beautiful Scottish Highlands. Although our respective careers took us in other directions, we both knew that one day we would together share our experience and wholehearted passion for the hospitality industry. Prior to taking over Morlea B & B, both of us (Mike is a Scot and Peggy is an American) have had years of experience in the hospitality and customer service industries. Mike ran a university dining facilities, had his own high-end bespoke catering business, has won several cooking competitions, was co-owner of a restaurant in Japan, and Peggy managed one of Richmond, Virginia’s most historic restaurants in America, as well as working in a hotel outside of New York City. From the beginning, our aim has been to provide an opportunity for you to unwind and escape from life’s pressures, experience our warm, friendly personal service, and enjoy traditional Scottish breakfast offerings - we take great pride in our reviews and hopefully they speak to our care. When we aren’t attending to our guests, we often find ourselves volunteering within our local community and walking along many of the beautiful walks in the Glens. We are fortunate to be situated on the Great Glen Way and are just walking distance to Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness. We also like spending time in our garden, growing fresh herbs and vegetables incorporated into your breakfast as well as maintaining beautiful landscaping (our garden is open to guests, just ask) We hope to welcome you to stay with us soon.

Nestled in the beautiful village of Drumnadrochit, Morlea provides guests with comfortable accommodation for a relaxing stay. Morlea is a traditional Bed & Breakfast set in a beautiful stone house built in the 1890s. Overlooking the village green we are ideally placed for easy access to local amenities, coffee shops, restaurants and above all the local pub. Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. After a great night’s sleep enjoy a delicious full cooked Scottish breakfast, or anything else on the menu, as well as cereals, fruit and yoghurts.

Drumnadrochit is located on the Great Glen Way, which runs from Fort William to Inverness, hence making Morlea an ideal place to stay for the hill walker (we also have great local walks), ambler, cyclist or those just wishing to escape the daily grind of life. Likewise, we are also an ideal base to explore the stunning scenery and rich history of the Scottish Highlands with Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness (for those avid Nessie hunters) just 5 minutes’ drive away. Similarly Glen Affric, Foyers Falls, Isle of Skye, Inverness and the Black Isle are also all within easy reach.
