We had a lovely stay at High March. The room was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed, even complimentary snacks. Stewart was a great host. The beds were large and very comfortable. The views over the loch from our room were stunning. Very tasty breakfast. We only stayed one night, but wished we could have stayed longer.

Drumnadrocht is in the heart of Loch Ness which is a lovely place. The Village of Drumnadrochit has little to offer, overpriced and awful food, little choice, not much to do unless you want to look at tourist tatt all day long. If I was to go again, I would stay in Inverness city and travel to the Loch Ness activities, its not far away. The city is great and has lots of choice.

I loved this little town.

I loved this little town. Great history with Loch Ness and Urquart Castle. We stayed one night but could have used a little more time. We saw the castle but did not visit and would have liked to take a cruise on the water. We stayed right by the Loch Ness Museum and loved this little area with the shops and restaurant (breakfast/lunch). It's not big so not a whole lot of choices for restaurants. We were there mid March which is still off season so some restaurants were closed and most places closed early (by our standards)

It has been a few years since I was last in Drumnadrochit,...

It has been a few years since I was last in Drumnadrochit, It has grown since my last visit. More amenities for locals and tourists, the people their are friendly, The local hub was informative and there were a lot of information signs too. Great wee place to visit.

Drumnadrochit is a lovely village next to Loch ness, there...

Drumnadrochit is a lovely village next to Loch ness, there are a few village shops and a couple of pubs. You can visit the Loch ness Centre, which tells you the history of the famous Loch ness Monster. I would also recommend booking a boat tour with Loch Ness Cruises in the Village. They take you out on the Loch with their boat the Nessy Hunter, which is very good. You also have Urquhart Castle down the road, I'd recommend getting the 919 bus, this will collect you from the bus stop by the Village green and take you straight to the castle. The Loch ness Inn is a good place for food or drink and does some lovely food. You also have access to some good woodland walks too.

I stayed overnight for work purposes and so I wasn't there for my own pleasure or recreation. That said. I've been through Drumnadrochit many a time and it has always been a quaint and enchanting little village with great scenery and excellent facilities. There's a few good pubs and places to eat as well as plenty of shops catering for the outdoor traveller along with the usual passing tourists. This is more of a stopover kind of place on the Great Glen Walk or the Loch Ness tourist trail and there is plenty here for the interest of most travellers.

A great place for boat tours of Loch Ness and Urquhart...

A great place for boat tours of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle is located just outside the village. The village itself is very pleasant with a beautiful village green which had a market on it the day we left. The Fiddlers Restaurant on the village green was a great place to eat, drink and watch the world go by. Urquhart Castle is well worth visiting with a great visitor centre and Loch Ness as a splendid backdrop to the stunning castle remains.

We were very pleased with this hotel! Wonderful staff who helped us from the carparks with our bags, friendly and obliging lady on Reception So easy to walk under the road to join our cruise on the Loch While the property is old, the view from the restaurant is fabulous looking straight out across the Loch The food at the Cobb restaurant was above and beyond expectations Absolutely first class quality, presentation and taste The servers are also very friendly and accommodating Highly recommend this property

Such a super cool place — it honestly felt like something out of a movie! The vibe was amazing, with a cozy fireplace and a beautiful lake view. The hotel administrator at reception was incredibly attentive and made us feel very welcome. The heating worked perfectly (maybe even a bit too well!), which was great for the chilly weather. The only small thing to note is that you need to walk to a nearby restaurant for dinner, which does not have same vibe.

Highlight of Our Ireland-Scotland Trip Our stay on Loch Ness was a highlight of our Ireland and Scotland adventure. The house was cozy, spotless, and perfectly located for exploring the Highlands.
