Smith Cottages is an oasis hiding behind the main street running through Langport. A selection of terraced properties dating back to the 19th Century. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, each with one King Size bed that can be split into 2 singles. In days gone by the property was an Ale House which was located on the ground floor beneath the apartment. Sailors from Holland would stay in the rooms here whilst travelling by boat along the River Parrett which runs behind Smith Cottages. Now a much smaller river it is wonderful for hiring a Kayak or Pedalo in the summer months.

Julie and husband Martin moved into Smith Cottages in 2013. After renovating most of the property they converted it for holiday accommodation and short breaks. Having spent many years in the music business, Julie now spend her time looking after the cottages alongside fitting in some music teaching. Martin is in the orchestra for the English National Opera, commuting to London for performances. They love Langport and one day will retire here!

Located in the Heart of The Somerset Levels, Langport is the perfect place to stay whilst visiting many of the South Wests wonderful attractions. A quirky little town, reputedly one of the smallest in England, there are numerous Cafes and independent shops. If you like to dine out or at home there are many places to choose from, and lots of Hostelry's to sample the local cider. Most places are within walking distance, and some a short drive away. You certainly have lots of choice.
