Old Ford House is an impressive Grade II listed Georgian house sitting in a superb location close to the River Stour on the fringe of popular Blandford Forum. With spacious rooms throughout, the well-appointed and generous accommodation is ideal for large family gatherings and celebrations, with plenty of parking and a one acre garden.

Details correct at the time of writing. Wonderful and varied walks can be enjoyed in this area of outstanding natural beauty, and close by you can head up through the Bryanston Arch and along to Bryanston Woods, or stroll over the bridge into the Georgian town of Blandford. Enjoy strolling along the River Stour as it winds through Blandford and take time to visit the independent shops, cafes and restaurants as you do a circuit of the town. Pick up the North Dorset Trailway, just a 10 minute walk away, which is largely made up of sections of the old Dorset & Somerset railway and extending up to 14 miles. It’s a safe and mostly flat surface making it ideal for running, walking and cycling. The Trailway offers some lovely views over the meandering river Stour, which is a haven for wildlife. The old railway station along the way at Shillingstone is a great stop off for a coffee and slice of cake or visit Fiddleford Manor and pop in for a drink at the Fiddleford Inn, or The White Horse in Stourpaine. The National Trust's Hambledon Hill, is an Iron Age hill fort with far reaching views and spectacular wildflowers, and just over 4 miles away, and take time to climb its neighbour Hod Hill too. Also close by is Shaftesbury, an interesting and historic town of Saxon origin, with attractions including Gold Hill, Abbey Museum and Gardens, and is just 12 miles away. The county town of Dorchester with its Thomas Hardy heritage, fine museums, and Roman Townhouse is always worth a day out and only a 30-minute car journey away. Garden lovers and history seekers will be in their element with many National Trust properties and gardens to discover including Kingston Lacy, and the Iron Age Hillfort at Badbury Rings. Wimborne with its famous Minster, Tivoli Theatre, Model Village, shops and restaurants can be reached in under 20 minutes.
