Amazing host, Carol went above and beyond, she was so friendly, the room was pristine and homely with a very comfortable bed and a large bathroom. The breakfast was lovely and the village of Gargrave was wonderful to explore.

The hostess was friendly and very helpful. The location was great. We were close to a wonderful Indian restaurant and a hiking/running trail was steps from the air bnb.

The barn dates from around 1750 but was fully renovated around 20 years ago. I further improved it in 2019. I have two rooms for guests, The Pennine room, with king sized bed, TV (with Netflix and Amazon Prime) hospitality tray and an en-suite shower room. The White room has a double bed, hospitality tray, TV (with Netflix and Amazon prime) and a private modern shower room immediately adjacent to the bedroom. The barn is a few seconds away from the picturesque Leeds Liverpool canal where pretty barges pass through the lock.
I live at the property so am usually here to welcome guests. I enjoy meeting people and happy to help with places to visit, eating out and local walks. I enjoy baking bread and guests will always have a selection to have with their hearty Yorkshire breakfast.
The Yorkshire Dales are a stunning place to visit. The barn is set on the Pennine way if you fancy doing the walk, or part of it, it’s a perfect place to stay. Or, if you are here for a few days you can walk along the canal to Skipton and visit it’s castle, visit Malham and see where Harry Potter was filmed, walk the three peaks (one at a time, or do the three peak challenge), watch a steam train (if you are lucky) going across the spectacular Ribblehead Viaduct. There’s also Ingleton falls, White scar caves, a visit to Settle and much more. Most activities are outdoors, so wear a waterproof, bring a brolly as one thing I can’t guarantee is the weather. I can promise a comfortable bed, hot shower and a fabulous breakfast, but the weather is out of my hands. But, when the sun shines it’s amazing.
