A lovely 1850s Grade Two listed cottage in the centre of Up Holland, for a maximum 6 guests. The property on the ground floor has a country kitchen, dining room, lounge, and an extra sitting room, perfect for the dogs to relax in. Outdoor terrace garden with secure gates and 6ft fencing. The property features air purifiers built into the building to remove moisture and recirculate the air. With 3 large double bedrooms (2 with Super King Zip and Link beds - which can be converted into 4 single/twin beds). All new beds with memory/ortho mattresses with extra support. Also, extra-length beds 6ft 3in. New bathroom with a bath and toilet, and one new separate shower room. Tastefully decorated with all the ground floor having feature panelling throughout, quality furniture and a beautiful cottage kitchen, but with modern-day appliances, including a washer/dryer. The bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard with quality linen and soft furnishings in the William Morris style. Beautiful garden terrace perfect for outdoor dining in the spring and summer, and with the use of a fire pit for the cooler nights. With private off-street secure parking to the rear of the property and on-street parking to the front. Secure key box access to the property gives you flexible arrival times. The property is also available for booking just the main bedroom for single and double occupancy. The cottage has all modern facilities, including a washer-dryer, dishwasher, wine fridge, and a built-in fridge freezer. The cottage also benefits from a log-burning fire in the main lounge for those cosy nights.
The cottage is positioned in the main area of Up Holland, with many shops, pubs, cafes, and takeaways within a few minutes walk. The historic part of Up Holland, with its beautiful Parish Church, is also just minutes away on foot. Beacon Country Park is just up the road from the cottage, perfect for walking the dogs, and the country park also features a bar and Cafe. Roby Mill, a lovely village just one mile away, benefits from beautiful country walks with pubs with fabulous dining on offer. Holland Hall Hotel, a fabulous wedding and entertainment venue, is also just minutes away. With a fantastic, friendly bar, pub food, and fine dining on offer, and weekend entertainment throughout the year, it is a great place to visit. Perfect for attending weddings and functions in the locality, just slightly further along the M58, Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool FC, and its vibrant city are just a short drive away. Haydock along the M6 is approximately a 20-minute drive. This beautiful Old Store Cottage is only a few minutes' drive from Junction 26 of the M6 and M58 motorways, so it has great access links to Manchester, Liverpool, and Preston. The Lakes District is just over an hour's drive time. Close to motorways M6, M62, M58, and A580.
