The Bolthole was idyllic for my elderly mother with a bedroom and bathroom downstairs. Ideally situated for exploring The Broads and the coast but so quiet and peaceful. The property is well equipped with everything to make a very comfortable stay.

A really lovely, spacious and beautifully decorated space, in a great location - very quiet and peaceful, 15 mins walk to the river, a short drive to the broads and the coast. Rachel was very welcoming and helpful.

Come and cosy up in our charming Norfolk cottage! Perfect for a couple looking for country walks, red wine and a roll top bath, friends catching up or a family exploring the Norfolk broads. Within easy reach of Norwich in one direction and gorgeous beach walks in the other. A local pub you can walk or cycle to and acres of farmland in which to wander. In Summer our heated swimming pool is available to use and there is also a private patio, overlooking mature gardens for your enjoyment. Please note with the pool we actively encourage you to use it and there is plenty of opportunity at different times in the day, it particularly works well for families and couples who are out and about at different times during the day and then would like to start the day or come back for a swim. I think it is just important to mention it is not available for spending the whole day by, as you might in a hotel.
Rachel and Simon are your hosts at this Perfect Norfolk Bolthole. We want you to have an exceptional and relaxing stay, whether this is with a young family, parents or a romantic escape for two. The Bolthole is perfect for so many types of stay and is a quiet and comfortable retreat from the hustle and bustle of normal life. We love meeting new people and sharing this part of the country with them, we are happy to be as involved as much or as little as you need us. We can suggests lots of things to do for families, or never see you from the beginning of your stay ‘til the end. It is very much up to you.
Located on a working farm, there are beautiful walks encompassing woodland, marsh, country lanes and the best big Norfolk skies. Sitting just outside the village of Stokesby, bikes are available to quickly reach the riverside pub The Ferry Inn, in a couple of puffs. The annex is nestled in mature gardens, this is a great place to spend a night or make it your base to explore the broads for a week. For families we are situated in a perfect spot! We have the award winning Bewilderwood, 20 minutes drive, voted one of the best days out for families in the country. Rroar Dinosaur park still only a 40 minutes drive. As well as easy access to Suffolk and North Norfolk towns as day trips. Our own Norfolk Broads start in the village, where you can enjoy a drink by the riverside pub and watch the boats go by or head over to Acle, Potter Heigham or Wroxham very quickly to rent your own day boat. There is so much to explore via the waterways and villages of The Broads and alongside our beautiful coastline, it provides for as much fresh air as you could want and not forgetting you are still very near Norwich, we pop in all the time, winner of “Best large outdoor market in Britain”!
