“Primrose cottage” is our 18th century home. We have additional accommodation within an attached “Annexe”offering two independent luxury rooms with en-suites. Newly refurbished to a very high standard, creating a cosy warm atmosphere with characterful decoration and providing all the modern amenities required for that perfect stay.
Dianne and David offer you the warmest of welcomes. We have both lived in the area all our lives having had varied careers and widespread interests, helping us to make your stay with us at “Primrose Cottage” a special one.
“Primrose Cottage” is located in the village of Westhead, West Lancashire. We are minutes walking distance to the traditional village pub highly regarded for its homely atmosphere and excellent food. It is only 2.4 miles to the historic market town of Ormskirk with rail links to Liverpool and Preston. The town has numerous restaurants and bars with a market in its pedestrianised centre, twice a week. We are within easy reach of both the M6 and M58 motorways. In addition we are placed conveniently for trips to Southport, Liverpool, Preston and Manchester. Local country walks, National Trust properties, the ‘Martin Mere Wild Life Trust’ plus numerous golf courses are also available for your enjoyment.
