Riverside Lodge is an additional holiday rental adjacent to popular Weir Cottage, also listed on this site. Riverside Lodge offers bijou high quality accommodation throughout. Downstairs, a luxury fitted kitchen and cloakroom with French doors to a deck & outside seating. Upstairs, a small sitting area, QLED TV, queen sized bedroom & lovely shower room. PLEASE NOTE OPEN TREAD, PADDLE STAIRS ARE UNSUITABLE UNLESS SURE-FOOTED. SOME HEADROOM RESTRICTION UPSTAIRS MOSTLY AFFECTINGB THE FOOT OF THE BED. You can walk to the pubs, restaurants and shops in a couple of minutes. Buses connect, half-hourly, Salisbury to north and Bournemouth to the south. The X3 bus stops right outside |Salisbury railway station making it really easy to get to us by train and bus. Foi full enjoyment of the New Forest, though, you really need your own transport.
Shane & Lindy are retired and much enjoy sharing their special place with many guests from around the world. Duck Cottage is occupied by us at this address as is Weir Cottage, latter also available to rent. The garden is approx two acres so you might see us working outside!
Fordingbridge town has almost everything one needs on the edge of the New Forest National Park. Pubs and restaurants, supermarkets are a two minute stroll away as Riverside Lodge is rather surprisingly town-centre. Salisbury, Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton and Portsmouth are all easy drives. Public electric car charging is only 100m walk. The cottages here are in a quiet single track road - look for Bartons Road odd Nos. with two acres od=f garden out back and being town centre you get the best of both worlds. We love it. A car is preferable to see the many attractions in the area. The X3 bus service connects Salisbury in the north with Bournemouth in the south with Fordingbridge half an hour south of Salisbury. Buses run every 30 mins in the day and hourly at night (direct to Saalisbury railway station). Salisbury offers main line rail connection to London and the west country. Bath, Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral easy to reach.
