Lovely home in a beautiful setting . Owner left eggs, milk, cookies and tea for us, as there is no place to buy food. Nice pub close by with good food and chance to watch the world cup soccer with locals.

Spacious, comfortable house in the heart of the village. Very clean and well equipped. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Essentials of milk, coffee, biscuits and eggs was very welcome. Our host gave us clear and useful information on directions...

The location was great, but the best part was the house itself. It is spacious, has everything we could need and the information provided by the owner was excellent.

This spacious cottage in Reeth in the Yorkshire Dales is ideally placed for exploring the beauty of the surrounding area. Situated in the peaceful and picturesque village of Reeth, Rokeby House is the perfect location for guests wanting to explore the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. This cosy cottage is ideal for families looking to explore the area or a couple of walkers with their dogs or cyclists escaping to the countryside. There is a large utility room with washing machine and extra sink.
I love exploring new walks around the area, the nature and wildlife is different every time, the paths are so quiet, you can walk miles before coming across another soul. I like to get out on my bike too when I get chance and cycle to one of the fantastic tearooms to enjoy a slice of cake. Email me
There are magnificent views of unspoilt countryside, river walks and woodland areas and meadows that are packed full of natural wildflowers. Reeth has a bakery, pubs, tea rooms, toy shop, post office, newspapers and Grinton is walking distance which is home to The Dales Bike Centre, where you can hire bikes. A little further afield but still within easy driving distance, guests will be able to take a trip out to one of the larger villages and towns in the area, including Leyburn, 10 miles, and Middleham 12 Miles, Castle Bolton, West Burton and Hawes are all popular tourist destinations, some offer weekly farmers' markets selling local produce and goods. The popular market town is only a 15 minute drive away with its cobbled streets, top quality restaurants, bistros and coffee shops, aswell as antique shops, art gallery and small cinema. The historic cathedral cities of Durham, York and Ripon can also be reached within a hour and a half drive and are certainly worth a day trip.
