We offer a friendly, comfortable, slightly quirky, relaxed experience in Rosslyn Court, in Cliftonville, Margate. We are near the beach and many cafes, restaurants and art galleries, bars, shops and even axe throwing! It's a typical mixed seaside area. The bedrooms are on the 1st floor and there is no lift, I'm afraid. The dining room is on the ground floor. The rooms do not have a TV, but we have free WIFI so bring a tablet or laptop. There are board games for you to use. We offer a very comprehensive continental breakfast in the quoted price including fresh fruit salad and yoghurt, freshly baked croissant, cereals, home made bread/toast, jam and marmalade. and should you feel you may have room for anything else, you can order a cooked breakfast at a small supplement, including veggie, vegan and g/f options. We always have dairy free alternatives. I use quality teas and coffee because that's what I like myself. We run a small venue in the building with acoustic folk concerts every Thursday from 7.30 - 9.30 and monthly acoustic jazz every 3rd Wed. There are also monthly workshops. You can join in any of these, space permitting. We have a lovely courtyard garden where you can relax with a drink or a coffee and watch the tortoises wander. We grow hops which a local brewery use to make community beer which we sell at the bar. your booking welcome message will include a number of local attractions and places to eat during your visit. Margate is a marvellous place to be, with lots to do beyond the lovely beaches and our famous tidal pool which is very close, alongside the community sauna . We recommend you stay longer to take advantage of the many opportunities available in the area; Dreamland, obviously, and music- lots of live music. It's an absolute privilege running our friendly B&B in such a vibrant, community-focussed location. Run by Morag and Chris Butler, their passion for hosting and performing folk music is integral to creating the warm and inclusive atmosphere guests experience during their stay. Morag's effervescent personality and energy ensures people feel relaxed and comfortable, and has helped attract a strong community presence with a diverse group of artists, musicians and creatives in regular attendance. Strong local connections mean we have a fount of knowledge about upcoming events and interesting places to visit. Although we are also incredibly happy to leave you to explore to your heart's content. We will, however, always ensure each visitor enjoys the best breakfast using ingredients from local farm, Quex. Rosslyn Court is also home to our two tortoises, Sidney and Sheldon.

Thanet's three towns all have their own unique personality which makes the area so diverse and fun. There is a burgeoning foodie scene across the entire locale with miles of sandy beaches. From Pugin's architecture in Ramsgate to Broadstairs' Victorian seaside-charm, and bohemian Cliftonville there is so much to experience. Margate has stunning sunsets, fantastic food, galleries and beautiful beaches. There are independent shops, the internationally-renowned gallery, Turner Contemporary and the super kitsch and cool, Dreamland. All events and venues are underpinned by a vibrant community spirit that buzzes all year around.
