It was a cute rustic cottage but in the middle of nowhere. One cannot walk into nearest village. It had everything we needed. Everything was clean and new. Shower was fantastic and hot. It would have been nice to have some milk tea/coffee on...

Enjoy the relaxing peace and tranquility of this sympathetically restored Welsh cottage. This warm and cosy retreat is sustainably heated and environmentally friendly. After a day walking or cycling along the many stunning routes in the Cambrian mountain range relax in front of a log fire. The perfect place to get away from it all. Within walking distance of the smallest town in Britain it's an ideal base for local events whether you fish, walk, bike, fell run or bog snorkler there is lots to do
I am a child of the 60s, a teacher and former actor. I grew up here on a farm and my best friend lived in this cottage so restoring it was very special. We have restored the cottage sustainably, using locally sourced and whenever possible recycled materials The cottage is heated by an air source heat pump. We love sharing our home with visitors to this beautiful part of Wales
This is such a special and unique part of the world, a real gem. Llanwrtyd is, steeped in history, the smallest town in Britain grew up once the Wells were discovered during the Victoria era and taking the waters led to significant health improvements for the visitors. I love the Abergwesyn common and the old Drover's road to Tregaron as, well as Llyn Brianne. Elan valley is, absolutely stunning and Bannau Brycheiniog are breathtaking. Llanwrtyd Wells has, a thriving tourist industry with the Green Events providing the most brilliant competitions, and races, year round to attract visitors, so whether you are a fell runner racing against horses in the Man v Horse, a biker enjoying the Real Ale Wobble or a Bog snorkler you will find a lot of fun here. The area is also perfect for hikers, bikers, paddle boarders, swimmers, Royal Welsh Show competitors and visitors as well as fishermen and women. One thing is guaranteed you will love beautiful Mid Wales, its countryside, villages, towns and events.
