We can point you in the direction for local lamb, beef and venison. Within walking distance is Nc'nean organic whisky distillery, countless wildlife spotting opportunities, Alan Hayman art gallery and Achnacriche restaurant. The local village hall also hosts monthly events. But if your legs are weary from exploring your new surroundings, or if the weather is a little drizzly, you’ll have a bookshelf full of puzzles, games and books to keep you occupied – plus a guitar if you’re feeling musical. The nearby village of Lochaline, a short drive from Seaview, has a regular ferry to Mull as well as a well-stocked shop, café and award winning casual fine dining restaurant. You’ll also find a lively social club with occasional live music and a perfect pint of Tennants as well as the Harbour Bar serving up local ales and cocktails over the summer. If you are up for a day trip or two, Drimnin is a great place to base yourself. The Isle of Mull is only a short 15-minute ferry from Lochaline. Our closest town is Fort William, a renowned centre for outdoor pursuits and home to Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain. Oban can also be reached by ferry hopping via Mull if you fancy a spot of shopping and a fresh seafood lunch. Or if you’d like to reach the most westerly point in the UK, Ardnamurchan is only the next peninsula over.
