I Love running Smarties Guest house, meeting all sorts of interesting people. I have travelled the world extensively, been a Personal Trainer & i have also travelled on the World Surfing Circuit for many years. So i have a lot funny stories to tell. Beautifully decorated and newly renovated Smarties Surf Lodge offers you a more personable and comfortable stay than your average budget surf lodge or backpackers. We are a short walk from Fistral beach and Newquay’s nightlife, restaurants and shops. All of the rooms at Smarties are clean and furnished to a high standard with modern facilities. Each room is well equipped with everything from LCD TV’s and wireless internet access to clean towels,hairdryers and tea and coffee making facilities. Every bed in the surf lodge comes with 2 pillows. Our selection of double, triple and bunk rooms are mostly ensuite. The Sandbar is our communal area downstairs. It has it’s own stereo and sofa and is a popular gathering point for party games, pre going out drinks and as a chill out area at the end of a day. It’s also used as our breakfast room. We offer full English breakfast at an additional charge which you can order on day of arrival if required. Perfect before a days surfing in the Newquay swell or after a heavy night out! All Smarties guests get some homemade cake and a choice of tea/coffee or a cold beer on arrival.

Smarties is situated on a quite residential road close to the shops, town & all beaches. This side of town is a quiet side. Although Smarties is only 2 minutes from the main town at one end, there are no pubs or clubs at the other end, therefore eliminating noisy passers by!! The town has many wonderful characteristics including a beautiful Harbour & pristine beaches in Newquay & next door.
