The Coach House sits in the grounds of St. Michaels House,the old rectory, in the pretty hamlet of Poughill. We are in the middle of Devon, 25 minutes from the City of Exeter with easy access to Dartmoor and Exmoor and the North and South Coast beaches. We are very close to several magnificent National Trust properties, and even closer to some great gastro pubs.

I am originally from London but went to Nairobi to work in 1985 where I met my husband Paul. Our two sons were born in Nairobi. Since retiring we split our time between Kenya and Devon. Paul and Diana will give a warm welcome to their guests on their arrival and will be available if any local information or assistance is required. If you would like a delicious home cooked meal for you please just let us know 24 hours in advance and this can be arranged.

We have a children playground next to us and there are many beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside. Exeter is close by with its magnificent Cathedral, award winning museum, interesting quayside with good cycle paths. A car is essential as there is not a frequent bus service.
