Modern studio in quiet rural location. Comfy king size Ikea bed, fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven and hob, toaster, kettle, microwave and a Nespresso coffee machine. The studio is set in a beautiful village location in the grounds of an historic Georgian house. It is well away from the main house so guests may come and go as they please. There is ample parking for several cars. There are many lovely walks from the village along the Thames path and over the Wittenham Clumps which is the site of an Iron Age fort. The village has 2 great pubs with gardens plus the Barley Mow in Clifton Hampden.
We have lived here since 1999 and our 3 children have grown up here so we know the area very well! We have always enjoyed travelling and know how important it is to feel at home wherever you may be in the world. I do everything I can to help my guests feel welcome and at home in the Studio.
The property is located only 10 minutes drive from Didcot Parkway train station. There is an off road cycle path that links the village to Didcot. This is also where the nearest supermarkets are - Tesco, Aldi and Sainsbury’s. We are also a 10 minute drive from the historic towns of Abingdon and Wallingford, and a 20 minute drive from the beautiful city of Oxford. There are 2 nice pubs in the village. There is also a small shop and post office just up the road in Clifton Hampden.
Access to the Thames path is only a short walk from the house. There are some guidebooks with walk suggestions in the Studio. The walk up to Wittenham Clumps is well worth the effort for the magnificent views across Oxfordshire.
