Croyde, a picturesque village, with its pretty thatched cottages,excellent pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and surf shops is a popular destination for families looking for a beach holiday. Sitting between two headlands, Croyde beach boasts a lovely stretch of golden sands backing onto sand dunes but is mainly renowned for its excellent surf. The waters can get quite busy during the main season. Coastal walks around Baggy Point and along the coastline provide some spectacular views and scenery. The popular golden beaches at Saunton and Woolacombe are also nearby. For those looking to explore North Devon further, the seaside town of Ilfracombe and its attractions is just a 20 minute drive away. Exmoor Zoo, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Big Sheep, RHS Rosemoor are just a few local attractions to name that are close by and guaranteed to provide enjoyable days out when you want a break from the beach.
