Formerly a mill-worker's cottage, Swan Cottage has been beautifully refurbished to provide a very comfortable holiday home for couples, families and individual travellers. Set back on a quiet side street, while still being located close to the town centre and all its attractions, Swan Cottage offers an idyllic haven for your stay in this lovely market town.

Hi, I'm Louise, lover of food and wine and books and people and dancing and long, funny conversations with friends over dinner. My partner is Ross, he's as outgoing and friendly as me - we're delighted that you're interested in staying in our little cottage in beautiful Barnard Castle, an area we're both passionate about.

Barnard Castle is a charming little market town, with a weekly farmers market, showcasing local produce, plus lots of independent shops for arts, crafts and antiques, plus delectable food and drink offerings. What makes Swan Cottage particularly appealing is its proximity to attractions, allowing guests to conveniently explore the town on foot. Barnard Castle is surrounded by magnificent countryside, offering numerous public footpaths, established walks, and cycle paths that lead alongside the River Tees and into the picturesque rolling landscapes. The town is home to the impressive Bowes Museum and the captivating ruins of its castle, providing stunning views over the River Tees and the surrounding area.
