Property info

Our self-catering accommodation is built within the peaceful Quaker site of Swarthmoor Hall, a 16th-century family home, whose Quaker history dates back to 1652 as the Cradle of Quakerism. Each of our self-catering accommodation units are surrounded by tranquil gardens and meadowland, some are built within the original house and some are modern but are sympathetic to our site's history. We have accommodation suitable for guests with accessibility requirements, two units are pet friendly, and if visiting from Wednesday to Saturday our small Cafe and Shop are also open. We're a sort 15minute walk from Ulverston train station along a lovely field and woodland path. The town of Ulverston is less than 5minutes from the station and offers a wonderful selection of independent shops and eateries. A visit to Swarthmoor Hall is a unique and tranquil experience enjoyed by all, and all are welcome.
