The promenade is excellent and so is happy mount park. Lots to do especially good the splash park on a hot day.
Shops are very disappointing now than they were say 10 years ago.
Lots to do for kids . Trampolining cinema bowling beach and good play areas.

Morecambe has a lovely sea front and has plenty to offer young and old. Great location to start walks to Heysham, Hest Bank and further afield. Good transport links into the Morecambe train station from around the UK, and seemed to have a good local bus service - we did not use use however.

Morecambe is a beautiful town with so much regeneration in recent years. It is a lovely spot for a long weekend visit suitable for all the family. Heysham is a lovely nearby village worth a visit for the day as well with a lovely coastal walk and beach.
Along the waterfront in Morecambe there are parks and activities (free!) for the kids from one end to the other. You can walk up the pier and have a play on the beach (note though that the tide goes out really far so don't expect to play in the water - the beach at Heysham is a bit better for this).
Lots of lovely restaurants and cafes. And a wonderful second hand bookshop - The Old Pier Bookshop - that is a must visit for us every time we're there!

We’ll laid out promenade with ample room for bikes, walkers and dogs without feeling too overcrowded. The station pub is one of the best places for a good atmosphere and delicious food and it’s not too expensive either. There are supermarkets within walking distance of each other and plenty of cafes, arcades and gift shops to spend some time in.
Like all towns , it has its dirty areas and run down streets but keep to the main road on the seafront and you will be pleased, and has a good bus service to get to Lancaster or the Lake District and it’s cheap too

Morecambe is very mobility and dog friendly.
Morecambe is very mobility and dog friendly. Every place we visited was very accommodating towards both our dog and my husbands scooter. The promenade was just brilliant, being the length of the town, we didnt have to go on the roads until we got to to part of town we wanted.
Hopefully the Eden project will bring in the tourism that this place needs and deserves.

The beaches were very clean.
The beaches were very clean. Some of the surroundings were a little outdated but Atkinson’s Fish and Chips were the best ever. Very easy to get round on the buses. Good supermarkets we understand the area is due for regeneration.

A lovely small hotel in Morecambe. The room was tiny, but very clean, with the bed facing the window so I could enjoy the sea view while lying down. Breakfast was great, but the best part was the kindness of the staff. They were incredibly welcoming, and that alone would make me return.

The location of the Midland Hotel is stunning and the hotel makes good use of this with a curved glass frontage for spectacular views over the bay while dinning. Staff were always pleasant and helpfull but we felt inexperienced and overwhelmed at times.

The hotel is in a good location with parking no issue (though there was street parking too). View from the room over the bay was lovely. Room was spacious and the bathroom a good size. I would stay again.
