Your Tranquil Devon Getaway Take yourself and the family away on a tranquil Devon cottage holiday, set in lush green pastures, midway between Totnes and Newton Abbot. Sympathetically and carefully restored from a stone farm building, a Swift Cottage Devon holiday provides a quiet yet convenient 4-star, self-catering retreat with a real ‘home from home’ feel. Swift Cottage is one of 9 cottages in a holiday complex called Newhouse Barton. Swift is family & pet friendly and sleeps 4.The complex includes a indoor heated pool & games room and close to Totnes, Newton Abbot, Dartmoor & English Riviera.
Having qualified as a Architect, I specialised in the design of Education buildings and Sports and Leisure and later I started my own private practise and specialised in housing both new build /domestic conversions and office. factory buildings. I have now branched out into holiday lets and own Swift Cottage in Devon and Meadow View in Aldeburgh, Suffolk where they are both family and pet friendly (One small obedient dog is acceptable - but subject to approval at booking stage). I am available at any time by phone, WhatsApp or email.
Guests are recommended to visit the many National Trust and English Heritage properties that are in the area which include Agatha Christie's 'Greenaway' and Castle Drogo. Plus the local amenities of restaurants, shops etc in Totnes etc. A car is essential for staying at Swift Cottage and a large car-park is available at the complex.
