Sykes House and its hosts Helen and Graeme are charming. We were very comfortable and the breakfast each morning was exceptional. We ended up staying an extra night because we enjoyed it so much. We will definitely come back if we can.

The warmth of the welcome, the comfortable room, the excellent cooked breakfasts, the flexibility of a microwave for ready-meals (and a room to eat them in). It was great that Graeme was able to get our bags up and downstairs for us. Also Askrigg...

Come and enjoy a relaxing stay at Sykes House, our rooms are large and very comfortable, we are central to the village, with 3 pubs within walking distance that all serve good food, and we have a general store within the building. We offer advice on local attractions and maps are available for local walks. Packed lunches will be made up on request and flasks filled. Please see our website for best prices, further pictures and more information
Alison and Michael have been at Sykes House since 2013 and still love meeting new and returning B&B guests. We moved to Askrigg because it is such a welcoming village with a good community spirit. We do not miss the rat race one single bit!
There are plenty of walks to do right from the door so you don't need your car once you are here, we have 3 good pubs within walking distance that all serve good food (we personally do eat in all 3). If you do want to go further afield we have maps and advice to help you choose.
