Seaside Hideaway Hotel is a small, independently run hotel on Scarborough’s North Bay, owned and run by Sarah and Jim – a husband-and-wife team with a genuine passion for hospitality and the Yorkshire Coast. As proud Scarborough locals, we love sharing the best of the area with our guests, from coastal walks and hidden spots to places to eat, drink and explore. Sarah spent over 30 years as a mental health nurse, bringing a calm, caring approach to everything we do and helping create a relaxed, welcoming environment for every guest. Jim has been part of Scarborough’s tourism scene for decades – from playing a pirate aboard the Hispaniola on the Mere to running the world’s smallest navy at Peasholm Park. His local knowledge and enthusiasm help guests make the most of their time here. Together, we’ve created a place that feels personal, comfortable, and easy to enjoy – somewhere guests can truly switch off and feel at home. Our eight en-suite rooms are thoughtfully designed to offer both comfort and character, whether you’re choosing a cosy standard double or a more spacious premium room. Breakfast is freshly prepared each morning, with homemade touches like marmalade, lemon curd and granola, and in the evenings guests can relax in our bar & lounge or enjoy simple, home-cooked meals.
