The friendly, picturesque Wiltshire village of Aldbourne, is situated in a wonderful location within the North Wessex Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the borders with Berkshire. Aldbourne has a lively community spirit with lots going on at different times of the year, and features two excellent pubs next to a Grade I listed church serving good food and real ales while offering weekly live music of a high standard. The village has many thriving stores including a Post Office and has a heritage centre, blacksmiths and village run library. The village nestles beneath the scenic Aldbourne Downs, and is close to the attractive Wiltshire market town of Marlborough, and the Berkshire village of Lambourn, famous for its association with the training of racehorses and where more than 1500 horses train from over 50 racing yards on the nearby downland gallops.
