We really enjoyed our stay at The Marlborough. Our host was exceptionally helpful and friendly. He had a secure place for us to store our bikes overnight. The breakfast was super...their breakfast menu even had a vegan option! Everything was very clean, the room was large and the bed was comfortable.

It's a wonderful town. It's my ancestral home.

It's a wonderful town. It's my ancestral home. Take a stroll up to the meadows and watch Marlborough College Cricket team play a game, whilst seated under the trees, by the pavilion, overlooking the town.

Ramsbury, where the Bell is situated, isn't Marlborough.

Ramsbury, where the Bell is situated, isn't Marlborough. Marlborough is an interesting market town a few miles to the west. Ramsbury is a large village in the Kennet valley, with good walks, good views from the surrounding hills, and interesting traces of a wartime airfield.

Marlborough is a great place to visit.

Marlborough is a great place to visit. It has some lovely shops, interesting old buildings and nice places to eat. It is a good base for seeing the local area. HighClere Castle is about half an hour away and well worth going to. Check online for opening days as it is only open to the public for a limited number of days each season. Tickets need to be pre-booked and sell out quickly.

Lovely place to visit.

Lovely place to visit. Highly recommend the guided tour of Merchants House - a delightful guide (Robin) and a trainee (Francis) made it all very interesting. Also managed to get a tour up the Tower in St. Peter's church and a very nice coffee and cake in the coffee shop actually in the church.

The position of the hotel at the end of Marlborough High Street was good - and we managed to get a parking spot at the back. Welcome from the staff was very personable The room was small but comfortable - and great for our overnight stay. Quirky building - very old and full of characterful corners Excellent breakfast

This is a family owned, traditional pub. The landlady is a fantastic host and really looked after us. Expect friendly locals playing darts, a fruit machine and sport on the telly. There are fancier hotels in Marlborough but everything worked and we had a comfortable room.

Lovely old pub with a modern renovation retaining some of the traditional decor in a quiet village just outside Marlborough. Super friendly & helpful staff. Excellent dinner but husband felt portions on the small side, good breakfast.
