The once working, 15ft long water turbine engine is still in place as a feature within the living room, and will be 100 years old in 2024! The Engine Room is part of Scalegill Mill, which was built in 1795 as a cotton mill. One of eight properties, it forms a small quiet community and is located in the heart of the picturesque Yorkshire Dales National Park. The living space of The Engine Room is open plan with wonderful views of the countryside. The décor is colourful, warm and fun, with pieces of attractive artwork and large feature mirrors.
