Location was remote, which we expected. Host was waiting for us and very gracious. Room was very nicely done even though we understand it was a 350 year old home. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. Great place to "lay back".

The B & B is on a country lane and is in a beautiful building. I was in room 2 and had a fabulous view across the countryside from the bed. No TV in the bedroom but that suited me perfectly. Facilities for coffee and a good selection of teas too....

This charming b&b combines modern comforts with the cozy warmth of the countryside. The room and bathroom was spacious. The sitting areas were inviting. We spent our evenings there enjoying a nightcap and playing games. Breakfast was delicious!!!...

The setting is quaint and quiet. We enjoyed roaming the country lanes behind the house. The home itself feels grand and has great character. Theresa, the hostess is warm and welcoming, as well.

My home is over 350 years old and set in one of the most beautiful and unspoilt parts of Highland Perthshire. Whiles I carry a Dunkeld postcode, I am very much not in Dunkeld itself – this is a truly rural setting, surrounded by open countryside, big skies and a wonderful sense of space and quiet. The house offers a rare balance of seclusion and convenience. Guests love the feeling of being “in the middle of nowhere”, yet still within easy reach of some of Perthshire’s most popular towns. Dunkeld, Aberfeldy and Crieff are all around a 20–25 minute drive away, offering excellent places to eat, independent shops, historic sites and riverside walks. Indoors, the character of the building has been carefully preserved, with original features that reflect its long history, combined with thoughtful touches to make guests feel comfortable and at home. It’s a place to slow down, switch off and enjoy the rhythm of rural life — whether that’s watching the light change over the hills, listening to birdsong, or simply enjoying the peace that comes with being far from busy roads and streetlights. I aim to create a warm, relaxed atmosphere where guests can truly unwind, explore Highland Perthshire at their own pace, and leave feeling refreshed and well looked after.
I take great pleasure in welcoming guests to The Farmhouse B&B and aim to create a true “home from home” for everyone who stays with me. Hosting is something I genuinely enjoy — from meeting new faces to warmly welcoming returning guests back to a place they already know and love. I’m always happy to share local knowledge, recommend favourite walks, places to eat, or quiet spots to explore, and I take pride in creating a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where guests can feel completely at ease. Whether you’re here to explore Highland Perthshire or simply to slow down and unwind, I hope you’ll feel well looked after from the moment you arrive.
Guests most often comment on the sense of space, peace and connection to nature that surrounds The Farmhouse B&B. The area is wonderfully rural, with an abundance of wildlife, open hills and ever-changing scenery right on the doorstep. The surrounding countryside offers endless opportunities for outdoor lovers — from gentle riverside walks and paddling or kayaking on nearby rivers, to hill walking and Munro-bagging for those seeking a challenge. Nature, fresh air and big landscapes are very much part of everyday life here. Despite the peaceful setting, a short drive brings you to the historic towns of Dunkeld, Aberfeldy and Crieff, where guests can enjoy independent shops, welcoming cafés and restaurants, galleries, castles and woodland walks. Whether you’re looking for adventure, exploration or simply a quiet place to relax and recharge, the area offers the best of Highland Perthshire.
