Access is via a shared courtyard through secure double gates. Guests have their own large, enclosed garden — ideal for dogs to enjoy safely while you sit back and admire the countryside views. There is ample, safe off-road parking available. ⸻ Other Things to Note The bedroom cannot be fully blacked out at night, but this allows you to wake up to beautiful countryside views in the morning. You’ll be immersed in classic English countryside charm, with opportunities for fishing, birdwatching and relaxed walks along the riverbanks. Nature lovers are particularly well catered for, with RSPB Greylake Nature Reserve nearby, and the world-famous starling murmurations at RSPB Ham Wall, one of Somerset’s most spectacular natural events during the winter months. Swell Woods, a beautiful ancient woodland known for its wildlife and spring bluebells, is also within easy reach. For a taste of local life, the nearby market town of Langport (just a few miles away) offers independent shops, cafés and welcoming pubs. Stathe is also perfectly placed for exploring further afield, with historic landmarks such as Burrow Mump, the vibrant towns of Bridgwater and Taunton, the iconic Glastonbury Tor, and even the Somerset coastline all within easy reach. The village is particularly dog-friendly, ideal for guests travelling with four-legged companions. Flat, scenic routes start right from the doorstep, meaning you can enjoy relaxed strolls or longer countryside walks without needing to get in the car. Step outside and you’re immediately on the riverside footpath, with direct access to the Parrett Trail. From here, you can walk along the river to Langport, or choose a shorter route to Burrow Mump, rewarded with a well-earned pint at The King Alfred in nearby Burrowbridge.
