A step leads down from the living area to the well-presented kitchen, which contains all the appliances you require to rustle up a wonderful dinner, to be enjoyed over candlelight at the dining table. Poulton is a small rural historic village situated close to the Cotswolds’ Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, approximately 24 miles south east of Gloucester. Poulton was registered in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Poltone. Historically, the village was part of the county of Wiltshire and for centuries was—physically detached from Wiltshire – an enclave of Gloucestershire. In 1844, Poulton became part of Gloucestershire under the Counties (Detached Parts) Act. Poulton is now home to a community run village shop, a local pub, The Falcon Inn, a traditional British country dining pub serving locally brewed cask ales, an interesting wine list and classic English dishes and a village hall.
