Company info

Myself Rosie and my husband Simon are normally about as we live in our farmhouse over the gardens. Your privacy however is very important to us so would only be evident if you should need help in any way. We are always happy to help with transport, restaurants, directions etc. A mobile number is always available should there be an emergency. All this will be evident on booking and arrival.

Property info

The Hideaway is a quirky, cosy handmade Shepherds Hut ideal for two people. It comprises a fold down double bed, shower room and kitchenette. There is a foldaway table and chairs available. The bed is complete with crispy cotton bed sheets and fluffy pillows. Fresh towels are provided in the shower room which includes a vanity unit and wc. The Hideaway has everything our guests need to enjoy a fully self catered short break - the kitchenette comprises two hot plates, sink, microwave, full fridge with freezer compartment. All the utensils, crockery and glass wear you will need are included. Guests walk straight out onto their own private decking or enjoy the full use of our patio areas or fairy lit Secret Garden complete with BBQ and Fire Pit.

Neighborhood info

The Hideaway at Duffryn Mawr is located down a country lane offering countryside peace and quiet. However, we are also ideally situated to go out and about visiting the sites. The quaint market town of Cowbridge, with its array of shops and eateries, is just a 25 minute drive. Alternatively you can head over to the cosmopolitan city of Cardiff and Cardiff Bay. Museums and castles are in abundance around South Wales as well as other historical sites. For our active guests we have plenty of challenging, or not so challenging, golf courses in the area or you could pony trek on Ogmore Beach. Paintballing is available just the other side of Cowbridge or just relax and enjoy woodland walks around Pyscodlin Lake or long lazy walks along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. There is something to do for everyone in the surrounding areas!
