Barley is a charming compact village in Pendle, Lancashire, at the base of Pendle Hill (557m) in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by moorland, hills, and reservoirs (Black Moss & Ogden), it has historic farming and mill roots and is now a popular walkers’ gateway. The village has a large car park, picnic area with playground, village green, stream for paddling, toilets, café/info point, and two pubs (Pendle Inn serves good pies and ales).
