Hi, The Old Dairy Mill Street was, as it’s name suggest, a Dairy - it sold milk, cheese, yoghurt and milkshakes to the locals as well as general groceries. The shop closed in the late 1990s and was converted into a flat with an additional extension, which houses the bedroom, shower room and kitchen. There is a shared outside seating area at the back in the yard but the rest of the property is for your sole use. The flat is full of unique, quirky details and recently refurbished. There is a sofa bed with extra bedding but we can also supply a travel cot or a ‘put you up’ single bed on request for children. Free on site parking in the rear courtyard
I love hosting guests as I enjoy looking after people. I’m a an electrical engineer at the University of Exeter. I have lived in Devon all my life and have good local knowledge.
Crediton is situated in the rolling hills of Mid Devon and is on the route often travelled from Lands End to John O’Groats. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside Whilst still being only 12 minutes from Exeter and less than an hour away from several lovely beaches and both Dartmoor and Exmoor. The area is particularly popular with cyclists and we can provide secure bike storage and a repair stand as needed, plus the ‘Bikeshed’ a well- respected bike repair shop is just up the road. There are several independent coffee shops, cafes and restaurants in Crediton as well as takeaways, and a range of interesting independent shops - well worth a nose around. The public transport links are good with a rail station and regular buses. There are several fishing lakes in the immediate vicinity and several walks with a country pub along the way.
