The Old Gasworks is a detached, three bedroom, fully restored, spacious cottage, a short stroll from the center of the picturesque village of Milverton near Taunton. If you’re looking for a peaceful location where you can relax in beautiful surroundings this is the place for you! There are also plenty of nearby attractions and activities to keep the whole family happy.

We enjoy meeting new people and look forward to welcoming you to our holiday cottage which we have restored ourselves. We are both teachers, and also have our own building company. In our rare spare time we enjoy being outdoors and going for trips in our self-built caravan.

You will love Milverton! It is a traditional friendly village with a pub, post office and open all hours local shop. There is also a beautiful church and a community hall which often has events going on. It’s great for walking and nature is everywhere including Grisly the pony next door. Exmoor and the Quantock hills are very close and the North and South coasts are an easy drive away. The horizontal boutique town of Wellington is 3 miles away and has 3 decent supermarkets. Taunton and Exeter are very easy to get to from the M5. There is a guide in the cottage to local attractions such as horse riding, golf, children’s entertainment and recommendations of where to eat. Milverton is easy 15 minutes max from the motorway, and there is a regular bus service to Wiveliscombe and Taunton.
