Welcome to The Old Stables Bed & Breakfast (Visit England Four Star Gold rated) located in Chelynch, Shepton Mallet. Our bed and breakfast is a Grade II listed converted barn filled with character whilst still offering comfortable and pampering guest accommodation with all the facilities of a modern B&B. We have three lovely en-suite rooms with luxurious linens, silent mini-fridge, flat screen tv with FreeView, free wi-fi and much more! Our traditional farmhouse breakfast is served in our stunning 17th century beamed dining room. We are lucky to have many lovely pubs and restaurants within an easy drive or the Poachers Pocket local pub serves great food and is only a short two-minute walk from the B&B. Situated on the edge of The Mendip Hills, The Old Stables provides a peaceful retreat to relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside. We are perfectly located for exploring the very best of Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and beyond.

We love our beautiful home and sharing it with our guests. Attention to detail is really important to us so we've pulled out all the stops to ensure that our visitors want for nothing. We enjoy a chat, meeting new people (and welcoming back previous guests!) and sharing our knowledge about things to see and do in our gorgeous county of Somerset and beyond. We are winners of numerous awards, including winning Bristol, Bath & Somerset B&B of the year three years running. We look forward to welcoming you to The Old Stables very soon!

Our location is in easy proximity to Bath, Bristol, Wells, Glastonbury and beyond but still offers you the peace and quiet of rural Somerset when you return to us after a day out exploring. We love the charm of Wells and the abundance of history in Bath. Like a National Trust property? We have plenty to see and if you fancy something a little more eclectic there's nothing like a day out in Glastonbury! These are just the tip of the iceberg - there is so much to do and see that you will be spoiled for choice!
