Unique studio cabin in a peaceful setting only a stones throw away from the Nature Reserve - replicating the well known Red Hut in Rye Harbour. The Other Red Hut stands alone in it's own private garden with a secure boundary fence making it ideal for guests wishing to bring their dog along with them. We do provide a pet bed if required. The inside of the hut is a single space with a double bed, comfortable sofa, fold down table and chairs and kitchen unit storing plates, cups, cutlery and glasses. For hot drinks and snacks there is kettle, toaster and microwave available with a small fridge to keep anything fresh so guests can enjoy a hot or cold drink. Heating in the hut is provided by electric oil filled radiator and electric panel heater to use as needed and with it being fully insulated makes the room very cosy. There is also a fan provided during summer months. We have WIFI with login details in the hut. The shower, toilet is situated adjacent IN A SEPARATE BUILDING from the accommodation easily accessed giving privacy with basic toiletries provided. Alongside this facility there is a outside tap and sink with hot and cold water for drinks and washing up if needed. Washing up liquid and tea towel provided. I am a retired local fisherman and Rye Harbour has been home to me all my life. Sheila works at the local hospital and was born in Rye. I started building the hut during lockdown to keep myself busy. The original red hut was where i spent a lot of my childhood and holds some lovely memories for me. We hope you enjoy your time here and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Rye Harbour has been our home for many many years. In fact I was born here. The Nature Reserve is perfect for dog walking, bird watching, walking or a bike ride. There is a pub close to the river, along with a café opposite the Life Boat Station- which serves an amazing breakfast. Rye Harbour car park is free 24/7 There is a bus every hour into Rye or if the weather's nice, it takes about 40 minutes to walk. A walk to the beach takes around 20 minutes but it also makes a great bike ride.
