I'm here to make your stay as memorable as possible. I live onsite in my off grid log cabin which I built with my partner in 2019. My dog Betty is very sociable and loves a cuddle. After travelling extensively around the world, I settled in Cornwall almost 20 years ago (although that still doesnt make me a local!). I work locally but am usually around mornings or evenings to give information or assist.

The Paddock started life as an overgrown field 4 years ago. Since then many hours hard work has seen it transform into a place to relax and unwind whilst surrounded by nature. New for 2021 as a pop up off grid site offers the perfect chance to leave the gadgets behind, switch off from modern day and reset. The free roaming chickens and ducks are perfect insect hoovers and keep the place free of slugs & snails while providing fresh eggs daily which are available to buy on site, perfect for breakfast. After a long day exploring why not sit with a glass of your favourite tipple by the firepit relaxing and planning the next days adventure while star gazing and listening out for the hoot of the owls.

Set in beautiful countryside on a quiet back lane, The Paddock offers a place of peace and relaxation. There are numerous walks and cycle rides in the area, perfect for the explorer or just the wanderer. There is a yoga school opposite that offers drop in classes and has a variety of classes to suit all abilities and practises. For liquid refreshment the local pub is a mile along the lane. The Smugglers Den is a beautiful traditional thatched roof pub offering the usual drinks plus local ales & cyders, and if youre feeling hungry after a hard day exploring or surfing, they have a delicious menu full of local produce and a pizza kitchen which include gluten free options. Newquay and Perranporth are 5 mins drive in either direction for more drink and food options plus supermarkets if you fancy a beach bbq one evening while watching the sunset. We are within easy reach of all Cornwall has to offer including Eden Project, Truro, Padstow or Lands End.
