This beautiful little cottage is in an idyllic country setting, with the meandering River Brit flowing either side. It has a small enclosed and private terraced garden and is set near the owner's home and was formerly the town's steam sawmill, in the picturesque market town of Beaminster. This attractive, traditional Dorset market town, with pubs, convenience store, specialist shops and restaurants is set in the heart of stunning countryside, with registered walks from the door, perfect for dog walkers, ramblers or trail cyclists. Please note: This property is not suitable for children and has no cot space. A maximum of two dogs are accepted. Dogs are charged each per week (or part week). GROUND FLOOR, Open plan lounge with log burner, dining room and kitchen, Shower room: Shower cubicle, w.c., Small very pretty private country garden area with patio and chairs, lighting, seating and BBQ Mezzanine floor accessed via STEEP open staircase (not suitable for the frail), with Double Bed (restricted headroom). Voted the nation's Finenest Manor House by Country Life and the location for the 2015 Hardy adaptation of 'Far From The Madding Crowd', Mapperton House and Gardens is well worth a visit. This Jacobean manor overlooks acres of award winning gardens and enjoys outstanding views of rolling hills and woodland that surround it's magnificent location. The delightful Beaminster Museum boasts a number of intriguing collections highlighting the town's rich historical heritage and is well worth a visit. The museum provides a fascinating insight of how the folk of the town lived and worked with content on display that will entertain young and old.
