The Shire Glamping.
We are a off grid pop up glamping site. We do not have main electricity but do supply USB ports for phone/tablet charging. Our vision is for our guests to turn off there phones and enjoy the peace and quiet of our site. Please note that we have two POSH composting/waterless toilets on site, these are proper toilets, not porta loo's or long drops, There is nothing like a decent toilet when camping !! Our site also offers outside Kitchens for each tent and a communal outside washing up station. A BBQ lighting starter pack is included with your stay. We do not supply a fridge so please bring your trusty cool box. Please note that their may be a short walk uphill to your tent if you choose the forest tent (family). Please note that we are a peaceful site and loud music is not permitted, however, we do supply a small radio for background music in each tent. If you are looking for a loud party we are probably not the place for you !
We purchased this site 7 years ago and it has been a labour of love to get it to the beautiful place it is today. Our vision was always to share this little piece of calm and heaven with others and we are finally at the point where we can!!
We are close to Dover castle, the war tunnels are a must visit, they are very interesting. We are 5 miles from Folkstone beach which is also a lovely day out with restaurants and an outdoor sports screen on the Harbour Arm. Canterbury is just 30 minutes away for the Cathedral or just an amble through the lovely city to enjoy the coffee shops and shopping! Fancy a day trip to France, we are about 2 miles from the port of Dover. There are so many places in the area you can visit to learn the history of the area.
