Ty Beic is two, one bedroom holiday cottages perched on a hill above the tiny hamlet of Sarnau, near Bala, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. These two restored stone barns are a magical place to stay all year round providing a perfect base for exploring North Wales. The Stable is a one bedroom, dog friendly cottage with exposed beams and stone walls. It is furnished to a very high standard with a certain offbeat charm
Ty Beic is on the southern edge of Snowdonia National Park and is the perfect base to explore North Wales. The mountain bike centres of Coed y Brenin, OneplanetAdventure, Antur Stiniog, Revolution Bike Park, and the ClimachX, (Gwydir) Marin and Penmachno MTB trails are approximately a 30 minute drive away. The area is also superb for road cycling, with quiet country roads, beautiful scenery, epic climbs and exhilarating descents on the doorstep. Snowdon is a pleasant and scenic 40 minute drive away. Aran, the highest British mountain south of Snowdon, is a 15 minute drive and Cadair Idris about 30 minutes. Away from the honey pots of Snowdonia, there are also spectacular walks in the Berwyn mountain range. Bala is also famous for its water sports. The world renowned National White Water Centre is in Frongoch, Bala. Bala Adventure and Water Sports Centre and Bala Sailing Club are both based on Bala Lake (Llyn Tegid). There are a range of activities available including windsurfing and sailing, kayaking and canoeing, gorge walking and climbing and abseiling.
