The Swallows in an exclusive Georgian townhouse ideally situated just 300 yards from Exmouth beach and a few minutes walk into the town centre. The bed and breakfast provides all the home from home comforts and our aim is to make your stay a peaceful and memorable one. The Swallows is a quiet ADULT only establishment with bedrooms on the first floor ( 16 steps with rails each side for support ). The double room benefits from its own separate TV/reading/ quiet room. The spacious superior twin room can accommodate either two people with the beds separated from each other or together. Both rooms have access to their own fridge. There is car parking at the back of the property and support is offered to park, unload your luggage and also taken to your room. PLEASE NOTE- Due to the tightness of space, parking is only suitable for small to medium sized cars ( not van or Land Rover sized vehicles ) Please feel free to enquire further prior to booking. In 2021, after working in nursing/care homes for over thirty years we decided that we both needed to try something new and running a small bed and breakfast seemed an ideal choice,, well, it was hard to stop striving for complete customer satisfaction, as that is all we have known. We both, obviously, enjoy meeting people and making sure their stay is comfortable and memorable. We can give you tips on places to visit if needed. In the summer season, when we get the chance, you can find us either cycling, swimming in the sea or out on coastal walks. We share the B and B with our aged resident cat. She's a bit timid, but friendly when you get to know her. We look forward to seeing you soon
There is lots to do both in Exmouth and in the surrounding areas. First, you are, literally, only 300 yards from Exmouth's two and half mile long beach and also within easy walking distance of the vibrant town centre 's eateries, shops and open areas. If you enjoy walking, then their are beautiful coastal walks right on the doorstep and if you enjoy cycling, there is the Exe estuary cycle trail. You can also leave your car behind and make use of the local bus and train service to various places such as Sidmouth. Exeter, Topsham, Budliegh Salterton, Lyme Regis, Torquay etc. There is also a ferry service to nearby places such as Dawlish and Starcross and there is the famous Stuart Line sea and estuary cruises. Whatever you enjoy, there is something for everyone.
