Welcome to The Swallows! We are a recently renovated 1960s bungalow at the bottom of a quiet cul-de-sac, adjacent to a beautiful buttercup meadow, which has easy access for a relaxing stroll any time of day.
Your room is a light and airy ensuite loft bedroom with a restful feel that faces west with a green view. You can enjoy a medium firm king size bed with plenty of pillows and cushions provided for your comfort.
The room sports many great facilities to help make your stay a comfortable one, (see list of facilities). Although this is a recently renovated room, we were keen to expose the time-worn beams and floorboards and stripped pine doors which we feel gives the space a rustic twist, but captures the character of its time.
The bathroom has a shower over bath, with a concertina screen, skylight and fan.
We thought you might appreciate a green space of your own and have created a garden just for you! This is situated below your room, westerly facing, perfect to start or wind down at the end of the day. It comes with 2 wooden steamer chairs and a table and chairs.
For cyclists we are able to store your bikes in our locked garage overnight. Swansea has a fantastic selection of cycle paths to choose from.
** NOTE ** new for 2025, we also have a self contained apartment with private garden, deck and summer house, that can sleep a max of 3 people, if you're looking for something with a little more space. Search Google for "The Swallows - Self Contained Apartment", or find it here on Booking dot com.
The Swallows is a perfect base to explore the beautiful infamous coastline and the many wonders that Gower has
We're keen gardeners, DIYer and love an upcycling project. Chrissie makes spoon jewellery and used to paint kitchens and the interiors of bars and restaurants. Peter is an environmentalist and has been involved in the development of various digital platforms.
Bishopston is a fantastic place to access some of the best attractions Gower has to offer, including Caswell & Langland Bays, Brandy Cove, Pwlldu Beach, Three Cliffs, Oxwich and many more,
