Rooms at the Usk started life in the early 1800's as 'The Usk Hotel' adjacent to the former Railway Station on Station Road in the Beautiful Village of Talybont-On-Usk. These Days it is owned and Run by Stephen, Samantha and their Family who host the Property as a Guest house for Visitors to the Brecon Beacons. The Property is well maintained and has had a recent revamp designed to the taste of Sam, the rooms are Quiet, Tranquil, classically furnished and above all, bright and Spotlessly clean. Our rooms are equipped with either Double, King sized or Superking Beds (No Singles or Twins), all being En-Suite with Bathtubs in each, (NB No Showers here!) Each room has a Mini Fridge (with complimentary Mineral water bottles and a Fresh Milk Bottle), a Flat Screen TV and A welcome Tray is Provided on Arrival. Hairdryers and Ironing gear are provided on Request. Over night Cycle storage is available (Please pre-advise). At This time we have taken the Decision not to provide Breakfast, however we have reduced the room Rates to Reflect this. Married for over thirty years, and as you would guess Sam is always right! Both are Daily working Business people, Steve runs a his own Transport business, Sam works full time with our Daughter Lylah providing Housekeeping both commercially and domestically in our local area. We are not always on Site but always contactable, we strive for you to feel welcome and comfortable during your stay, and want you to feel can come and go as you please.

Rooms at The Usk's location is as good as it gets - attracting a healthy local trade as well as visitors to the Brecon Beacons National Park. Talybont-On-Usk has two Inns that are just a 5 minute walk away, The Star Inn and The White Hart inn, the village also Boasts an All in one Cafe/Shop/Post office. Close to the heart of the Beacons, Pen-Y-Fan and the market town of Brecon, and also handy for South, west and Mid Wales. Guests can go walking, fishing or cruising the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and the Usk River, which Both flow through Talybont-on-Usk.
