This Victorian house is in large gardens and has easy access to Edinburgh's city center by bus. It offers free Wi-Fi and free parking. Alba House Hotel has a quiet location less than 2 mi from Edinburgh Waverley rail Station. A number of local buses run regularly from the stop outside the guest house. The house was built in about 1860 and the large rooms mix original features with modern comforts. The individually decorated rooms with attached bathroom have central heating, TVs, hairdryers, radio alarm clocks, coffee tables, armchairs and tea/coffee. Alba House Hotel is family-run and prides itself on offering a traditional warm Scottish welcome and a friendly, relaxing atmosphere.

Alba House is an elegant Victorian villa dating back to around 1870. Situated in the Craigmillar Park conservation area in the south of Edinburgh, it is a great base for exploring the city and the surrounding area and is well served by local transport - only a ten minute bus journey from the historic Royal Mile. Edinburgh University (Kings Buildings), The Royal Observatory, The Medical School and Edinburgh Royal Infirmary are all close by. There are several great pubs and local restaurants within walking distance and a local shopping centre is a few minutes away. Being a Victorian villa, no two bedrooms are the same, however, all bedrooms have lots of character, most with high ceilings and intricate cornice work. Our two classic rooms on the second floor are smaller in size, have cosy coombed ceilings and are probably not suited to guests with limited mobility or oversized luggage! They are priced to reflect their size. All rooms have the following; Free wifi Ensuite bathrooms Flat screen Televisions Whether you visit Edinburgh for business or leisure, please be assured that you will receive a warm welcome and great local knowledge form your local hosts.
Alba House is situated in a quiet residential area in the south of the city.It is well connected to the city centre - a direct bus takes ten minutes to reach the historic Old Town and the many tourist attractions on the royal mile. It as a great base for exploring both the city and the surrounding area. It is on the A701 and just a few minutes drive to the city bypass which connects to all routes -airport,Forth Road Bridge and the main route North.
