As a business we have been trading for over 15 years, initially focusing on serviced accommodation, now moving over to self catering accommodation In 2006/07, we converted and bought back in to use a redundant barn attached to the 18th century traditional farmhouse, providing guest accommodation across two ensuite bedrooms on the first floor and a kitchen and lounge / diner on the ground floor.

Please Note - the two downstairs bedrooms can be either one super king double or two single beds (twin bedded configuration). The rooms cannot accommodate both bed configurations.

Please Note: Our postcode NE46 4DB is not unique to us. If using this in your satellite navigation system it will take you to the wrong farm. We recommended following the directions below once you reach Housesteads Roman Fort (travelling east) or Chollerford / Chesters Bridge (travelling west). From the M6 / Carlisle – Travelling East (approx 31 miles). At junction 43 of M6 follow the A69 west (signposted towards Hexham, Newcastle). After approximately 16 miles turn left onto the B630 (signposted towards Greenhead). Turn right onto the “Military Road” - B6318. Continue along the B6318 for approximately 13 miles. Carraw Farm is located on the right-hand side (approximately 4 miles after Housesteads Roman Fort). The property can be found by following the gravel track from the main car park, passing the Farmhouse. From A1 / Newcastle / Gateshead – Travelling West (approx 26 miles). At junction of A1 / A69 follow the A69 east (signposted towards Hexham). At Styford Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A69 (signposted towards Jedburgh and Carlisle) along Corbridge Bypass. Stay on the A69 at Hexham. After the Hexham exit from the A69 (Bridge End), turn right (across the eastbound carriage way) onto the A6079 (signposted towards Otterburn, Bellingham, Chollerford, Rothbury and Acomb). Continue along the A6079 for approximately 3 miles. At crossroads with B6318 turn left (signposted to Chollerford). Cross the River Tyne at Chollerford (Chesters Bridge). At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the “Military Road” – B6318 (signposted to Carlisle). Carraw Farm is located on the left-hand side after approx. 4.5 miles, just past the Temple of Mithras (Brocolitia), on your left. The property can be found by following the gravel track from the main car park, passing the Farmhouse.
