AUGUST 2026 EXCLUSIVE PRICES ​TWO NIGHT STAYS Subject to availability. With long‑range forecasts pointing to a warm, dry August, and with many people choosing to avoid the heat of southern Europe, this could be the perfect year for a relaxing staycation. No airport queues. No ferry delays. No border checks or last‑minute cancellations. Just the English seaside at its finest, right here in a vibrant, thriving coastal town.
We are the property owners and use this property for our own family holidays. Because we live in London, 90 minutes away, we have a local agent who looks after the property for us and can help with any immediate needs. We are also on the end of the phone for any questions or concerns.
Sitting in an ideal position just minutes' walk from the Walpole Bay. The house is located in a residential area which is a Conservation Zone in Cliftonville. Two small quiet streets to cross on a 200 yard, step free, journey and you at at the beach. Turn left and 800 yards later you are by the Tuner Gallery and in vibrant Margate Old Town. Turn right and in 400 yards you are at Walpole pool offering the opportunity to swim even at low tide... If you keep walking east, you start coming to the quieter bays. Personally, years ago, I found the measure for a good holiday was never having to get into the car during the stay. Never having to drive the children to the beach or the shops. Never having to drive the teenagers to somewhere they could hang out (and then having to find collect them 'some time' later). Never having to drive everyone to a restaurant and not even have a glass of wine with dinner. Never having to drive to get a loaf of bread or pint of milk. Everything you need is on your doorstep. And a local rail and bus service exists to Ramsgate, Broadstairs etc LOCATION INFORMATION 0.2 miles to the beach 0.4 miles to Walpole Bay Lido 1.5 miles to Botany Bay 2.2 miles to Kingsgate Bay 0.2 miles to Northdown Road 0.9 miles to Margate Old Town and Turner Gallery 1.2 miles to Margate Train Station 3.6 Miles to Broadstairs ( 14.9 miles to Sandown Castle 16.8 miles to Deal Castle 22.2 miles to Dover Castle 16.9 miles to Canterbury Cathedral
