On the Snowdonia coast, Wavecrest is 2 minutes’ walk from Barmouth Beach with its spectacular mountain views. This elegant guest house offers free WiFi. Guest rooms at Wavecrest have private bathrooms with a shower, hairdryer and toiletries provided. There is also a flat-screen TV, alarm clock, wardrobe and tea and coffee facilities in each room, and some also have sea views. Barmouth has a wide choice of cafés and independent shops, and Wavecrest is just 5 minutes’ walk from the town’s Dragon Theater, housed in a converted Victorian chapel. It is around 9 miles from Dolgellau, a pretty market town at the opposite end of the Mawddach Trail, a scenic walk along the disused railway line connecting the two towns.

Property info

Built in 1878 directly on the beach. Commissioned by the McDougall familly famous for Flour Mills. Views out to beach and beyond to Cardigan Bay. The Llyn Peninsula can be seen to the North, and The Mawwdach Estuary is to the South. To the rear of the building are foothills of the Rhinog Mountain range.
