Robert's Cottage is the ultimate relaxing retreat Take a break and unwind at our peaceful cottage. Set in amongst the hills close by to the local Pub, walks,cycling paths and the beaches of the Cambrian coastline. Up above the village of Abergynolwyn is the Bryn Eglwys Quarry and nearby the world famous narrow gauge Talyllyn Railway. The cottage was built for a quarrying family in around 1875 . The cottage has kept a lot of original features. The old chain next to the wood burner- the hook that held the cooking pot during Victorian times. For many years it was, and still is, a family holiday home, passed down through the generations. Surrounded by beauty, mountains and rivers,we look forward to welcoming you With regards to muddy paws, bikes and walking boots please use the log shed to store items during your stay and ensure that dogs are cleaned before coming into the cottage. Whilst we welcome pets at the property, we would respectfully ask that pets do not go on the furniture or beds. We do hope that you and your pets have a wonderful stay. Any guests should be mindful that we are a dog friendly cottage, should anyone have an allergy to pets.

Neighborhood info

Abergynolwyn is nestled in south Snowdonia between the mountains and the sea Talyllyn Lake is a few miles north, with the beautiful town of Dolgellau further on. The village of Abergynolwyn has many scenic walks to take with Cader Idris and Craig Aderyn close by. Head west to the coast, with wonderful beaches in Tywyn and Aberdyfi. Parking outside the cottage is on street. Having a car is handy to explore the area, however there is a local bus service running through the village.
