Wester Links is a holiday home in the town of Fortrose, a former Royal Burgh on the Black Isle, just north of Inverness. The house is tucked away just up from Fortrose Bay, in a quiet cul de sac, so you’re only a couple of minutes’ walk from the sea. It’s a perfect location for families and those with dogs. The Black Isle is a nature lovers’ paradise with numerous walks in the local area. Fortrose Bay is the southern side of a spit of land that extends into the Moray Firth and has a popular sailing club. At the eastern tip of this spit is Chanonry Point. It’s marked by a lighthouse built by Alan Stevenson in 1846. From the point, you have a fantastic chance to spot bottlenose dolphins, seals and many species of bird. It is actually one of the best places in the world to watch bottlenose dolphins from the shore. The spit of land between Wester Links and Chanonry Point is host to a gem of a golf course; the links of Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club.
