After our children flew the nest we decided to follow up on a long held dream to own and run a seaside guest house. At that time we owned a clock and watch repair shop which we duly closed, sold our house and headed for the wonderful sights and sounds of Blackpool and the Fylde coast. Nick is originally from Essex, as a child the family moved to Norfolk where he spent his formative years, after leaving school he began working for Norwich Union (Now Aviva). He remained there for 20 yrs until deciding to open the clock shop which he ran for 15 yrs. John is a Lincolnshire yellow belly through and through, he began his career in catering attending Boston college, achieving his chef qualification City & Guilds 706/1&2. After leaving college John worked in the hospitality industry for various companies; Butlins, Pontins, Harry Ramsdens & Pizza Hut in a management capacity. Nick and John met in 2011 and by July 2012 had moved in together in Worksop. In 2013 we had our Civil Partnership ceremony in Sherwood Forest. We are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and we welcome everyone equally and expect our guests to show the same respect regardless of race, gender or sexuality.

Westfield House is an adult only guest house situated in the North Shore LGBTQIA+ Rainbow Quarter area of Blackpool, just a few minutes walk from the train station and very close to all the amenities. When booking your room please take note as to it's location to ensure it meets any special requirements. As a small guesthouse we would be unable to move you to a lower floor if a room has been booked on the top floor. The lowest rooms we have available are the twin room and one classic double room all other rooms are on higher floors. Our twin room (Rm1) and the first Classic double room (Rm2) are located on the first floor in the West Wing and are reached via one flight of stairs with 14 steps in total. Our Superior double room and Superior single room are both found on the main landing via one and a half flights of stairs with 17 steps in total. Our small double room, small single room and the second Classic double room can all be found on the top floor in the garret reached via three flights of stairs with 32 steps in total. Each of our 7 rooms has been decorated with a single colour theme taken from the pride rainbow flag, with each room having its own featured artist.

The location of the guest house is right in the heart of Blackpool's LGBTQIA+ Rainbow Quarter and is ideal for those wishing to enjoy the excellent nightlife Blackpool has to offer, with restaurants, theatres,shopping and car parking situated within a few minutes walk. The North Pier, Winter Gardens,Grand Theatre, Blackpool Tower, Funny Girls and Blackpool north train, tram and bus station are also situated very close by. The Pleasure Beach is a short tram ride away. The promenade and a tramstop is only a minutes walk away from the guest house, ideal for taking in the fresh air and views over the Irish Sea. Westfield House is located in the heart Blackpools Gay Village and is perfect for sampling the fabulous clubs and bars in the area.
